I'm getting some interference on my Eagle.

I takes the form of a darkish black vertical stripe about four inches wide moving back and forth accross the TV screen. It is on both the scart and the audio/video output. Better on the scart. Sometimes are worse than others, but it is always there.

It is situated in the same spot as my old TM1500, same cables etc, which had no such problems.

Any ideas.

Do you still have interference if you move the Eagle to another area or is it just in the current position?

Yes, I done a complete reshake of everything on Saturday.

I rerouted the coax. Moved the PSU away from the Eagle and moved the eagle away from everything else. Gave it my best scart.

The interference is gone and hopefully will stay away. But I'm not sure what fixed the problem.

I must say that the picture quality from the scart is much better than from the audio/video output. Is it possible to get a better quality audio/video cable than the one supplied? And if so would it improve the picture quality?

Having just one scart socket is a bit of a bummer.

Scart will always be better than the composite from the video output.

I would think if the scart cable you have used is full shielded then that was the most likely fix.

Good to see you have the problem fixed though, nice one.

Update!

The interference came back last night.

Finally I found out that it was due to a Sanyo VCR.
In standby there is no interference but when it is turned on it causes the problem.
Hard to believe as it is located well away from the Eagle.

I missed this during my shakeup mentioned above as it powers on in standby.

yes this can happen if you have so many receivers and A/V equipment best try to keep leads free and not tie them together,
I know it can get messy at the back of the TV
