hispasat problem

Hi, as a new owner of a spiderbox 9900 i am not up to speed just yet, i have a problem on hispasat 30deg west, when i go on that sat after a short while it goes off and won't respond to remote control, i have to switch it off at the back of box to get the box on again, no such problem on other sats, i was told there is a problem on that sat, can anyone shed any light on this. Cheers.

No problem here !! 30 west working ok I have a 9000 . What Dish do you have what motor. also which Settings file are you using.

Been out so late getting back, i have a 1mtr gibertini and the superior dark motor, not sure where to find settings file, working fine on the technomate. Thanks.

Could be a corrupted setting File. Or you dish has moved slightly. If I was you I would update with the latest settings file. Found Williams 1 new file the best. Has all the latest Sats 16E extra. Also have you checked your Lat Long is still correct. If you are doing a New Software update Which is now Due It would be better to Do the lot at the same time..

Hi, i read on another forum that they are aware of this problem on the 9900 and they are awaiting a fix, was advised to avoid hispasat for now. Cheers.

Dont know of any problem with 30 west. I see you have posted in another post that you lost you Channel settings . Are you sure you have updated with a correct Setting List ?????

Thanks for that, yes i used what was on my usb drive, which was given to me by the seller with it all on, i did check with him the correct one, all is fine but for the hispasat problem.

It Still sounds like a corrupted Settind File. If I was you I would download a new setting file there has been alot of updates in the past few weeks.

Really good channel list Here with All new Satellites. 16 East with all new Transponders.

Thanks for reply, if i put the file on that you highlight will i still be able to put old one back if its no better? do i simply put this one on usb and load it onto box which will override the other one. Cheers.

I have just tried with new file and i get the same result, its ok for a few minutes then the sound goes followed by the picture, then you have to reboot to get anything back on.

The info below only effect the Spiderbox 9900HD

The fact that MEO uses AAC HE audio on some of their channels could explain the current issues

The video and audio are fine for about 5-10 mins
then you lose the audio, although the picture remains clear, but if you try to change channel no channels are decrypted or change satellite the dish doesn't respond to it's commands.
The only solution is to perform a re-boot to get the Spiderbox9900HD working again.

SPORT TV LIGA I uses AAC HE audio & is one of the effected channels,
Benfica tv uses MPEG audio so isn't effected.

The above issues are been looked into

There are no fixes for the problems yet,

When the cause has been found, there will be a fix right away.
