Need Help

Hi to you all out there , I have recently purchased a cheepish 7020S and have downloaded its manual but still find it very complicated and not sure how to use it to its full potential . I live in surrey and would like to see one set up any ideas guys or gals.

On this one there is no easy answer. You will probably need to
to search around for information, it does take some time &
patience. The one thing I stuck to on the 7020Si was to keep
the latest original Image/Firmware intact. I run the STB from
Flash card or USB stick using different bootable Images.

as said above, keep flash image intact and install other on mulbiboot.

Usb or HD are 2 options.

You will find a lot of images for that receiver but my favorite ones are from EDG nemesis team

Sorry guys as i said i am still learning but i asume the flash image is the screen you see when reciever turned on?

The flash image is the complete software on the receiver (except from boot-loader). Images is different software "packages" You can use. They can be installed on USB stick or the box's internal flash memory. In flash You can have only 1 image. On USB several.
What catoro and Cherokee advise You, is to keep existing software (if the box is new) in the box's flash memory. Then get hold of an USB stick and install new software on that (multiboot) instead. Use the program FlashWizzard to install multiboot and software (images). Flashwizzard can be found on this board.

One quick tip. Make sure you run STB via scart. If the RF
modulator output is used, once setup with bootmenu you
won't see it. :D
