Got mine at the weekend, actually I got 3 as I was setting up a couple for a m8 so he could multi-room.
Anyway after testing all the images I could find inc cvs images the best combination so far is the latest scvs image in flash and Gemini 3.9 using Barry Allen.
It's very stable and responds well to all the commands so far :D
They other teams have plenty of work to catch up I am afraid.:cool:

Although most users would say that the Nabilo Black hole image is the best, I must say my preference has been the PLi Jade image. It's a nice clean lean image and does what it says on the tin.
I tried Gemini and wasn't in the least impressed.. it's all a matter of taste really.

The new pli Jade2 is a very good and stable image,

it also includes the latest boot loader #70 I have it on for the last few days.

Yes you can use dream up but the most common way is using the webinterface

DreamUp will take you nearly a hour to flash your DM800 the image is so big, follow the guide from the link provided by Pawnee.

i am installing Nabilosat Enigma2 Black Hole - DM800 v0.9. what is multiboot and do i need barry alan.previously had jade pli but got messages sid not pat and even freeto air channels would not clear.is this a failure of the box tuner or the image. another problem i had was after manuelly tunning in six or seven satellites the box would not find any more. can you please advise

Multiboot is running other images from your 800 on a flash or hard drive, this is done with the use of barry allen which is a plugin you would install to the image on your 800 internal flash.

Sid not in pat is a common issue with the 800 and usually a rescan will sort this issue, most sid i pat problems come from channel list groups as on transfer or on download some details in the lamdb get corrupted causing the sid in pat problem.

Best advice i can give is scan you own if your get the same problem look at the channel details and edit them with correct details.
